ERIH – The European Route of Industrial Heritage

We are pleased to announce that on June 28  Museum of the Central Industrial District  joined the renowned European Route of Industrial Heritage – The European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH).

This great honor confirms that our industrial heritage is not only important at the local level, but also at the European level. Membership in ERIH will allow us to even better promote our rich history and share it with industrial heritage enthusiasts from around the world.

The ERIH network was built between 2003 and 2008 by eleven partners with financial support from the European Union. In the spring of 2008, when the EU funding expired, the association ERIH – European Route of Industrial Heritage was registered, which provided the opportunity to continue and develop the project. Since then, the number of members has grown from 17 founding members to more than 400 institutions from 27 European countries.

ERIH has become the largest information network for tourists interested in European industrial heritage.
